The God Father of Close Up Magic

The Tom Burgoon Lecture

Above and to the left is Obie introducing the first lecturer for FFFF 2005.
On the right, from Kansas City Missouri, our lecturer Tom Burgoon

Tom opened his lecture with a series of jokes and sight gags.
Great material Tom and thank you for the laughs.

In the picture above Tom is seen doing a vanishing ribbon and on the right a jumbo prediction with Steve Shain as his assistant.

In the two pictures above Tom performs his "Coin Weld" for Pat Page.

Tom did a unique change bag routine with balloons where he controlled
the color of balloon that Fred Shark pulled from the bag. Tom asked Fred
to pull out any color but yellow. Fred of course pulled out only yellow.

Above and to the left, Tom is seen doing a D'lite-ful routine with a paper bag
and a D'lite. On the right Tony Weiland shows his selected card to the crowd.
Tom wasted no time in finding it.

With the aid of a blacklight pen and light, Craig Dickson
discovers his selected card printed on Toms forehead.

The picture on the left shows Tom doing some very unique thread work
And on the right he performs a spoon bending routine with playing cards.

Time for a few more sight gags. The worlds largest Whoopee Cushion
on the left and the worlds largest Purse Frame on the right.

Time to dust off the old mirror glass because what Tom did combining
a sponge ball and a mirror glass was visual, deceptive, and very entertaining.
Great Idea.

Picking up a pair of dice, Tom shook them in his hand, and then asked
James Lewis to look in his hand and call out the number. When Jim
looked into Toms hand a snake head popped out, startling Jim and
getting a good laugh from the crowd. Funny stuff!!!

Hear Tom is seen performing a jumbo "Miser’s Dream".
The coins seemed to vanish and appear as if by real magic.

The modus operandi: Black Art and Invisable Thread.
Tom included many additional ideas for thread and Black Art work
which caused a good deal of note taking by the spectators.

The Dyslexic Card Effect. Using David Regal as the mark,
Tom does a routine that can't be described, it has to be experienced.
In it Tom plays the part of a Dyslexic magician.
This routine alone would cause me to hire Tom in as a lecturer.

Above Tom finishes "The Dyslexic Card Effect"
using jumbo cards to discover Davids card.
.tom work great the up Keep

If you have not been to a FFFF convention before
